Feelings are your internal GPS

Feelings are your internal GPS

The past year I have been pretty quiet on social media... just observing, listening, watching... the noise around politics, the pandemic unfolding, all the chatter and banter about how this or that is right or wrong... and what I realized was something pretty powerful... that people really do not understand they are responsible for their own happiness... sadly, most don't even realize they can take control of it... It is a very simple, but fundamental shift… it is the easiest way to experience Zen, presence, and being in the moment… And the shift is simply taking control of what you spend your time talking about, thinking about, analyzing, arguing, and doing… If you spend three hours a day reading and engaging in negative posts or discussing negative things with others, how do you expect to feel good after? It is low vibration. However, if you spend three hours a day learning something new, exercising or playing a fun game, you would feel good after. It really is a choice. Take control of what you do. But yet, so many people lose so much time engaging in things that make them feel bad… and it is why I created my children’s series, Jesse True. This is what he teaches, that you are responsible for your feelings and HOW you experience life. Perspective is the root of all things, and this can change... I am hoping children start to learn young that they have a choice, how to experience life, that they are not victims, that the things happening outside of them do NOT have control over their happiness. That they can TUNE OUT what they don’t want to engage in… And by no means am I saying ignore your internal navigation system, it exists for that reason. It if your most powerful weapon. If you don’t like something or something hurts, your internal GPS is warning you that something needs to change. It is telling you this situation or experience no longer serves you. It is time to take another path, change speed, shift gears, redirect, find another way. And usually that change is about you (not something else). Your internal GPS will speak subtly at first but get louder and louder until you heed its warning... And if you don't, your body will activate its warning system next, with fatigue, depression, and illness. The GPS does NOT say beep beep stay here and resonate in the negativity, stay here where you feel bad, stay here where you are miserable or suffering… Feelings are your guide, follow them. Happiness is not what happens outside of you, it is inside of you and how you choose to experience it.
