Most relationships fail because…

Often we believe those close to us should know what we want and need… They should know what we think and feel… We assumingly set expectations in our mind and expect them to be met, often without even realizing it… Our belief systems, desires, wants and needs are unwittingly and unfairly placed upon someone else, who most likely doesn’t even know they exist. Most relationships fail for this reason. We forget that people can’t read our minds. It is our responsibility to tell them what we feel and need. You may not necessarily fix the situation, change the outcome, or improve the relationship but at least whatever you want and need, is out. It is no longer lost in frustration or anger, resentment or pain, and unconsciousness ego battles. A problem can’t be solved until you know it exists. The quickest way to heal, solve a problem or to resolve any conflict is to use your words. © Jodi Healy
